This “Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism” will add a tax to EU imports of steel and aluminum products that were not produced to sufficiently stringent carbon emission standards. Under the new mechanism, companies will need to buy certificates to cover emissions generated by the production of goods imported into the European Union based on calculations linked to the EU’s own carbon price. This webinar will examine the new tax mechanism in detail, cover its schedule for implementation, and provide practical guidance on what bearing and gear companies should be doing now to prepare.
