AGMA Partners with Italian Industrial Association, Translates On-Demand Courses

June 27, 2025

June 27, 2025 – Alexandria, VA – The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FEDERTEC—the Italian association representing the fluid power, automation and power transmission industries and technologies in March of 2024. The partnership was finalized to translate AGMA’s newly redeveloped, on-demand Workforce Training Series courses in Italian.

AGMA Announces Award Winners at 2025 Annual Meeting

May 6, 2025 - Alexandria, VA - The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) honored seven members at the 2025 AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas last week. One member received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Also awarded were the Chair and Distinguished Service awards. Three outgoing AGMA Board members received Directors Awards.

Sara Zimmerman Announced as the Inaugural Chair of the MPMA

May 5, 2025 - Alexandria, VA - At the recently held AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting, Sara Zimmerman, Vice President of Customer Experience and Product, Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America, was announced as the inaugural Chair of the Motion and Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA). The MPMA is a newly formed organization, bringing together the strengths and legacies of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA).

AGMA And ABMA Merge to Form Motion and Power Manufacturers Alliance

May 1, 2025 - Alexandria, VA - On April 24, at the AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting in Austin, TX, the membership of the two associations voted to approve a merger between the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA), creating the Motion and Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA). The new organizational structure will commence today, May 1, 2025.

Forest City Gear Celebrates 70 Years in Business

Founded in 1955 by Stetler and Evelyn Young, with one machine and a $7,000 loan from friends and family, Forest City Gear has grown from a small shop out of their garage into a globally respected manufacturer, serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, outer space, automotive & motorsports, robotics, medical instrument, and food & beverage machinery manufacturing. As we’ve expanded and flourished, Forest City Gear has stayed true to our roots as a family-owned company.

DE C.V., a subsidiary of ECM USA, Inc. The ECM Mexico team, consisting of Juan Cruz (Operations Manager Mexico), José López (Field Service & PLC Engineer), led by Pierre-Loic Rousset and Dennis Beauchesne, and supported by the entire ECM USA team, is excited to announce this milestone in their continued dedication to expand service support in Mexico.
