Leading Consensus. Discussing the Potential.

Standards That Shape the Industry

ABMA and AGMA have set national bearing and gearing standards since the early 1900s. Today, MPMA continues this leadership by developing and maintaining the technical standards that manufacturers, suppliers, and end users rely on to ensure quality, consistency, and performance across gears, bearings, and related mechanical power transmission components.

MPMA serves as the U.S. focal point for ISO bearing and gearing standards and acts as Secretariat of ISO TC 60 – Gears, supporting international standardization efforts. The association also participates in ISO TC 4 – Rolling Bearings to represent the U.S. position within the global bearings standards framework.

Access Standards & Technical Resources

Members can access up-to-date standards and publications applicable to bearing and gear manufacturing. MPMA also offers a Technical Publications Catalog, providing a comprehensive listing of current standards, information sheets, and a reference of outdated documents alongside modern equivalents. The catalog is regularly updated to ensure members always have the latest guidance.

MPMA members receive discounted pricing on all standards, documents, and related technical products.
