FOREST CITY GEAR EXCEEDS $100K IN LIFETIME DONATIONS TO THE AGMA FOUNDATION

Roscoe, IL (May 30, 2024) –  Forest City Gear, an industry-leading manufacturer of fine- and medium-pitch custom gears, is pleased to share that a recent gift of $2,500 pushed the lifetime personal and corporate donations to the AGMA Foundation to more than $100,000. Established in 1994, the AGMA Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to bettering the gear manufacturing industry through four pillars: scholarship, workforce development, education, and emerging technologies.

ERNST-BLICKLE AWARD 2023 presented to Prof. Dr. Hermann J. Stadtfeld

Bruchsal, May 17, 2024: Prof. Dr. Hermann J. Stadtfeld, vice president of the Gleason Corporation in Rochester, New York, has been presented with the ERNST-BLICKLE AWARD 2023 in recognition of his outstanding achievements relating to research into bevel gear technologies, the application of these technologies, and the design of drive systems. Presented every two years, this award comes with prize money of 100 000 euros, making it one of the biggest and most prestigious awards worldwide. At the joint award ceremony, 17 carefully selected university graduates from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland also received Graduate Awards in recognition of their excellent bachelor's and master's theses. Graduate Awards are presented each year by the SEW‑EURODRIVE Foundation and are each worth 2500 euros.

KISSsoft / KISSdesign Training in Rochester, NY – May 6-9, 2024

Gleason is hosting a 4-day training course “KISSsoft Basics for Cylindrical Gears, Shafts, Bearings, LTCA, and Intro to KISSdesign” at The Gleason Works in Rochester, NY, May 6-9, 2024. The course blends gear theory and practical experience. Participants will learn about the KISSsoft interface, cylindrical gear theory and strength calculation methods, using the shaft and bearing module, optimization of cylindrical gear macro and micro geometry, verification in Loaded-Tooth Contact Analysis (LTCA), and an introduction to our new system analysis tool, KISSdesign. This course includes a tour of the Gleason Works Rochester facility to experience practical examples on the shop floor.
