May 2, 2024, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) honored gear industry professional, Michael Weas, at its 2024 Strategic Networking & Leadership Forum in Milwaukee, WI, on Thursday, May 2.

March 18, 2024, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) honored three members at the 2024 AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting in Napa, CA last week. Two individuals received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and one received the Hall of Fame Award.

March 15, 2024 — Alexandria, VA — The AGMA Foundation announces changes to its Board of Trustees at the AGMA Members' Meeting during the 2024 Annual Meeting in Napa, California.

February 26 – Alexandria, VA – The Motion + Power Technology Expo (MPT Expo), owned by the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), was recently recognized by Trade Show Executive magazine in their “Fastest 50” list. Tradeshows were evaluated in three categories:

February 7, 2024 - Alexandria, VA - The American Gear Manufacturer’s Association (AGMA) Robotics and Automation Emerging Technology committee has published a new white paper, Gear Backlash in Robotic Applications: The search for flexibility, performance, and economical systems. This white paper was released recently in tandem with a panel discussion webinar led by experts who contributed to the white paper.

January 10, 2024 - Alexandria, VA - The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) is proud to announce the hiring of Todd Praneis as Vice President, Technical Division. In addition, three AGMA employees—Courtney Carroll, Robin McWilliams, and Jess Oglesby—have been promoted.

January 8, 2024 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) released a new pair of digital assets for its members and power transmission industry professionals last week. These tools include a new version of AGMA’s website (www.agma.org) and the AGMA Mobile app, which is also available in a desktop version. The site and the app are open to both Members and non-members and can be accessed on Android phones, iPhones and computers.  

October 31, 2023 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) had three manufacturing podcasts that were broadcast live and recorded from the 2023 Motion + Power Technology Expo (MPT Expo) in Detroit, Michigan. More than 50 attendees and exhibitors were interviewed over the three-day show that hosted a total of 2,268 attendees and 163 exhibitors. The podcasts included:

October 26, 2023 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association’s (AGMA) Motion + Power Technology Expo (MPT Expo) hosted 2,268 attendees and 163 exhibitors last week at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan. AGMA also hosted its annual Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) and was co-located with ASM International’s Heat Treat and IMAT conference. Together, the events attracted 4,482 attendees.
