January 8, 2024 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) released a new pair of digital assets for its members and power transmission industry professionals last week. These tools include a new version of AGMA’s website (www.agma.org) and the AGMA Mobile app, which is also available in a desktop version. The site and the app are open to both Members and non-members and can be accessed on Android phones, iPhones and computers.  

October 31, 2023 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) had three manufacturing podcasts that were broadcast live and recorded from the 2023 Motion + Power Technology Expo (MPT Expo) in Detroit, Michigan. More than 50 attendees and exhibitors were interviewed over the three-day show that hosted a total of 2,268 attendees and 163 exhibitors. The podcasts included:

October 26, 2023 – Alexandria, VA –  The American Gear Manufacturers Association’s (AGMA) Motion + Power Technology Expo (MPT Expo) hosted 2,268 attendees and 163 exhibitors last week at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan. AGMA also hosted its annual Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) and was co-located with ASM International’s Heat Treat and IMAT conference. Together, the events attracted 4,482 attendees.

October 18, 2023, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) announced the promotion of Jenny Blackford to the organization’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) today. In her new role, Blackford will oversee the association’s systems and processes, enterprise wide. In addition, she will have expanded roles relative to human and technology resources and investments.

October 17, 2023 - The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) presented numerous awards during the 2023 Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) Awards Luncheon today in Detroit, MI. The event took place on the second day of the FTM, which is co-located with the 2023 Motion + Power Technology Expo. Awards were presented to AGMA technical committee members who have published a document within the last year and one AGMA member for the Chairperson’s Award.

September 5, 2023, Alexandria, VA —  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) Technical Division Executive Committee, TDEC, announces a minor restructuring of AGMA technical committees to better serve the industry. The new structure will replace existing topic-specific committees with project-specific working groups that will be formed to develop the deliverable of each project. This provides the TDEC with the flexibility to pivot resources quickly, enabling AGMA to provide technical assistance to the industry as challenging issues arise. This is in contrast to the current system where the TDEC evaluation of possible new projects is limited to the pre-determined, subject-specific committees.

August 28, 2023, Alexandria, VA —  The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) Board of Directors elected two new members to serve a three-year term, from 2023 to 2026. This vote occurred at the most recent board of directors meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan in August.

AUGUST 25, 2023 – ALEXANDRIA, VA – The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) has released the full 2023 Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) schedule. The 2023 FTM will be in Detroit, Michigan from October 16 through October 18. The 2023 FTM is divided into five sessions, each of which delves into different facets of the gear industry. They are as follows:

March 21, 2023, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) recently concluded the 2023 Annual Meeting which took place in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from March 16th through 18th. Over the course of the meeting's three-day duration, three people were presented with AGMA awards.

March 21, 2023, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) has changed its Board of Directors. These changes took place at the 2023 AGMA Annual Meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
