October 24, 2022 – The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) recently applied for and received reaccreditation from the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) organization for its educational courses. The accreditation is valid for a period of five years, through November 2027.

September 1, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) hired three new employees in the month of August to fill existing vacancies. Jessica Schuh and Robin McWilliams joined the Business Division, while Jess Oglesby joined the AGMA Media Division. By hiring Schuh, McWilliams, and Oglesby, AGMA can better provide AGMA members not only with the services they’ve come to expect, but also give them access to additional resources including education, events, and news. Details on all three employees’ professional experience and positions are listed below.

August 31, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) held an open house event and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the National Training Center (NTC), located in Chicago on August 24, 2022. The event was successful, not only allowing members and community leaders to view the facility, but also affording numerous networking opportunities for those in attendance.

Alexandria, VA, July 27, 2022 – The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) has partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide AGMA gearing standards to their electronic library for use by their employees. This partnership follows a previous established relationship with AGMA and USACE for the exclusive requirement included in their master specification for machinery design to be done by an AGMA member.

May 23, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The 2023 Motion + Power Technology (MPT) Expo—a biennial AGMA event that connects top manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and experts in the mechanical, gear, electric and fluid power industries—will be held in Detroit, Michigan, on October 17-19, 2023. 

April 20, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) recently installed four machines at the AGMA National Training Center at Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, Illinois. The four machines were donated to the AGMA Foundation and will be used to support the hands-on classes offered by AGMA. Special thanks to donors Meritor, Inc., Piselli Enterprises, Inc., Randy R. Stevens, and Delta Holdings Livonia, LLC. Special thanks also to Mike McKernin, Board member, BMEC Chair, and Education Committee member, for his support in facilitating the preparation and delivery of the machines to the AGMA National Training Center. 

April 7, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) recently concluded the 2022 Annual Meeting which took place in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, from March 31 to April 2. On the final evening of the 2022 Annual Meeting, AGMA presented numerous awards, including the prestigious Hall of Fame Award. This was the first time a Hall of Fame Award was presented to a person or company since 2016.

April 6, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) recently concluded the 2022 Annual Meeting which took place in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, from March 31 to April 2. Over the course of the meeting's three-day duration, two people were presented with the AGMA Chairman's Award.

April 4, 2022, Alexandria, VA — The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) announced the changing of its Board of Directors at the 2022 AGMA Annual Meeting held March 31 through April 2 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. 

February 23, 2022, Alexandria, VA – The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) hired two new employees that started in early February, Aaron Fagan and Colton Schlotman, who will be working for separate departments within AGMA. By hiring Fagan and Schlotman, AGMA will be able to leverage their knowledge to provide AGMA members with additional resources to gain exposure to the latest technology, news, education, events and more.
